Domestication

I feel a litle like Betty Crocker today...I've cooked most of the afternoon, making salsa verde (with tomatillos from our local farmers market), blackberry pie (with fresh berries from our property), banana bread...and of course dinner (chicken, cornbread stuffing and augratin potatoes...YUM!

Miss Monkey has been my little helper (she even said she enjoyed handwashing the dishes as long as she was doing it with me...how sweet).

Mike had to leave home around 9:30 this morning to catch a flight to St. Louis, so we decided to finish up back to school shopping. Mr. B was also finally able to purchase an iPod with his birthday money and allowances that he's been saving for a while. After that they had a 3-hour playdate with their friends....Life is Good!
