Biking...well, sorta

This weekend Ron and Carol came in to town (a promise Ron made Brandon when he was learning to ride a two-wheel bike without training wheels). On Saturday, we did a little bike shopping and decided on a bike from Wal-Mart. After the purchase, Bailey was not happy that she didn't get a new bike (imagine full blown tantrum). However, once she calmed down, we got out Brandon's old bike for her to ride...she was even able to wear one of Brandon's old bike helmets. After a few trips up and down the sidewalk, she was ready to ride at the park. The six of us loaded up the van and headed for a trip (albeit short trip) to the park. You see, Brandon had some difficulty in riding his new bigger bike...After about 10 minutes, he was so frustrated, he couldn't/wouldn't continue. Mike thought it was because Brandon wasn't tall enough for the bike quite yet.

Before Grandpa left on Sunday, he made Brandon promise that he'd be able to ride his bike the next time he saw him. True to his word, Brandon was out after lunch riding on the flat areas of our yard. He's getting a little better and with a little more practice (and confidence) he'll be riding around like a pro (well, maybe not a pro, but a least by himself;o)

BTY, we made a trip to the blueberry patch this weekend too and have 10 pounds of blueberries. After 1 pie, 1 blueberry crisp, a batch of blueberry pancakes and 4 containers to the freezer I still have about 5 pounds left...does anyone have any great blueberry recipes?
