My beloved Grandma passed away peacefully on Wednesday after a long battle with cancer. While her cancerous tumor slowly deteriorated her body for months, I'm trying to be mindful of the vibrant, loving woman that was such a wonderful example of all things good in our family. She was a loving wife of almost 68 years (and a wonderful example for me to strive for in my marriage). She was also a doting mother and grandmother, always sharing wonderfully strong hugs and kisses each time she saw us.
I know there will be many tears this weekend as we lay her to rest, but hopefully they will be balanced with many wonderful memories of the loving, God-fearing woman that she was.
Grandma, you are truly loved and will be missed tremendously!
