At one point we thought you'd be our little Michaela Gabrielle. But we couldn't agree how to spell it...your Daddy wanted Michaela, while I preferred Mikayla...so your nickname could easily be Kayla.
But that never truly suited you, as we realized you were always meant to be our sweet Bailey Nicole.
It seems like just yesterday... that you entered the world, with your thick dark brown (complete with the tuft of hair that stuck up in the back...just like your brother's did) and sparkling blue eyes. And you made our family complete.
It seems like just yesterday...that you learned to walk. And talk. And kiss. And snuggle.
It seems like just yesterday...that your bubbling personality flourished (and the 'trying three stage' became but a distant memory)
It seems like just yesterday...that you ventured into school with an enthusiasm to meet new friends and an unrelenting zest for learning.
I remembered all these things this past weekend, when you celebrated your 8th birthday.
Photo by my brother-in-law, RichI have so many dreams for you, my little girl. I hope that you never loose your positive approach to life. That you never lose the confidence that defines you. That you are able to pursue your passion, without abandon. And that you will find love and friendships that will last forever.
