2010...it was a year filled with an extraordinary family trip, and once-in-a-lifetime experiences. A year filled with extreme pride in my children, and intermittent struggles of making the right choices as a parent. A year of tremendous global travels for my husband and a loss of a beloved grandmother.
But it was NOT a year filled with much blogging.
In 2010, I made a conscious decision to cut back on blogging in order to help me achieve a better balance with my family life. I didn't miss the pressure of posting multiple times a week or coming up with blog post ideas. But on days like today, when I went back through my archives to pick my favorite posts of the year (inspired by Scary Mommy's year in review) and noticed most months had only 1-4 posts, I miss not having blogged more.
Here are my favorites from 2010:
January: A Night to Remember
February: Failing to Plan
March: Spinach Pasta & Roasted Tomatoes
April: Shifting Perspective (my favorite post of 2010)
May: A Mother Is
June: Unspeakable Pride
July: Her First Carnival
August: What to Wear: Third Grade Edition
September: With a Goal in Mind
October: My Progress
November: Glamour's Women of the Year (an inspiring, celebrity-filled night to remember)
December: My Mother: a gift that keeps on giving
I'm not sure what 2011 will bring for me, or this blog. But I know one thing for sure...I'm so thankful for all who have followed me along on this journey. Happy New Year, my beloved friends and family. May 2011 bring you much love and happiness.
